Cycling in Basel

Basel is a cycling city, as much out of necessity as conviction: flat, compact and crossed in twenty minutes. Around 21,000 public parking spaces are available, plus free pump stations at key points and a network of signposted routes reaching across both national borders.

The map shows parking spaces, pump stations and cycle routes from the canton’s open data. Newcomers should know two things: at Bahnhof SBB and Badischer Bahnhof the spaces fill up at peak times, and a bike without a frame lock disappears faster in Basel than elsewhere.
