Basel’s tram and bus network is one of the densest in Switzerland: 59 lines serve 2,828 stops in the city, the agglomeration and across both national borders. It is run by BVB in the city and BLT in Baselland — which is why lines such as bus 61 appear that city dwellers barely know, because they run out in the Leimental valley.
